Mrs Barbara Nice

Mrs Barbara Nice (or Janice Connolly in the real world) is a much-loved mother of five from Stockport who believes in bargains and getting the most out of life. Ergonomically correct, she doesn’t drive and travels the country by National Express coach and her husband knows nothing of her burgeoning comedy career. He thinks she`s either at Bingo or dog sitting.

She has been compared to the following –Victoria Wood, Mrs Merton, Janis Joplin, the Shake 'n' Vac woman, Julie Walters and Patti Smith.

Janice was spotted by Peter Kay as Barbara at the City Life Comedian Of The Year final that he had won the previous year. Other winners include Alan Carr,  John Bishop and Dave Spikey.

He asked her to be in his new TV series That Peter Kay Thing and she then went on to star in both series of Phoenix Nights as God-fearing Holy Mary. Other TV includes playing Peter`s mum in Coronation Street.  Max and Paddy as Holy Mary again – Dave Spikey`s Dead Man Weds’ as Carole and BBC2`s skating rink comedy Thin Ice.

Brendan Dempsey

In a career spanning the globe, and the worlds of film and television, Brendan has been seen on the big screen in films including Waking NedAbout Adam and Gangs of New York; and in two BAFTA award-winning television comedies – Father Ted and The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury.

Latterly, he’s become best known for a series of Paddy Power commercials – but there’s nothing he can do about that.

Still performing stand-up comedy on the UK and international circuit, he’s in increasing demand as a voice-over artist, and as a regular guest with the comedy store players. Brendan has been concentrating more on script-writing after winning an award at the Houston WorldFest for his first short, Barking Mad.

Danny McLoughlin

He has the sharp wit & material, likeable persona and strong stage presence that have seen him become a much sought after act in his short time as a stand-up.

A finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of The Year in 2008, Danny went on to perform as part of the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival 2009.

He also supported Al Pitcher on his UK Tour and is booked by some of the UK's biggest gigs and promoters.

It has been a rapid rise for Danny and it all looks set to continue. With an amiable, confident stage presence and a well-written set Danny delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further.

Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word.
